Catania 1979. Lives and works between Catania and London.
One of the key points of his artistic research is the autobiographical component. His works are developed as a result of a reflection on the context that surrounds the artist whose analysis of certain places and their problems, often politically and anthropologically based, is furthermore expressed through a strong connection with history. In recent works, the artist investigates man’s need – be he a single individual or an entire community, – to travel over the earth, questioning how this freedom comes into conflict in contemporary reality with geopolitical interests, state bureaucratic apparatuses and reactionary ideologies.
